The Gauge — Subcontractor Compliance Tracker

Know which subcontractors are cleared to be on site this week

List the subcontractors on each job and the documents each one must keep current. The Gauge shows who is cleared, who is not and why, and what runs out in the next 30 days.

Certificates of insurance, licenses and safety cards expire on different dates, and they live in email threads and folders. Nobody notices a lapse until someone asks for the paper, or something goes wrong on site.

Who this is for

What you get

  • See every subcontractor on a job as green, amber or red, with the reason behind each color
  • Upload a certificate of insurance and let the AI read the insured name, insurer, policies and dates for you to check and save
  • Get a Monday-to-Sunday clearance list: who is cleared for this week and who is not
  • Get a weekly email of what is missing or about to expire, sent to you only

Inside the tool

  • 1. Subcontractors
  • 2. Documents
  • 3. Clearance

How it works

  1. Add a job and the subcontractors on it. Tick the documents each one must keep current: certificate of insurance, license, safety card.
  2. Upload a certificate or type the dates in. The Gauge judges every policy on its own, so an expired workers’ comp policy is never hidden by a general liability policy that is still valid.
  3. Open the clearance tab. Anyone with a missing or expired document is listed first, with the reason.

What The Gauge does not do

It does not look up insurers, check licenses with any agency, or email your subcontractors. It works from what you enter or confirm. A certificate is read once and is not stored; only the dates and details you check and save are kept.

Track up to 50 subcontractors across your jobs.
